This week I got to attend a unique event, the iWe Expo. Imagine a conference where you get to connect with other active people or wannabes, products and services all geared towards maintaining and invigorating your healthy lifestyle. Along with door prizes and other free stuff. Interested? Well, this was the purpose of the iWe Expo.
Though not a heavily attended event, it was quite lively. I was greeted warmly at the door and given some information that would help me navigate and explore the convention hall. Inside, there was a dj, a bar, vendor booths lining the walls and scattered around the room. There were a lot of vendors in attendance, even for some activities I hadn’t even considered. Um, pole dancing?!?! Apparently, its really good cardio and muscle training because the trainers looked quite fit. Aside from that, I got to speak to other vendors who gave me useful information about activities I had considered participating in.
I really didn’t know what to expect when I walked in. I planned to just take a look at a few things I was interested in, swimming classes, archery, and maybe zip lining. I placed stickers to indicate my interests on my activity bib. By the end of it, I walked out with a wealth of information on other activities; kickball, biking, runner’s resource and training, and some really good beef jerky. From this expo, I am now armed with a ton of things to try out this summer, and I’ll be sure to keep you posted
.
It’s the first year for the iWe Expo in Atlanta, Georgia and I hope it continues to grow. To learn more about the iwe expo and the vendors in attendance, visit the iwe website http://www.iwelife.com/iweexpo/

Glad you had fun at the expo! Just as a heads up the DJ’s were:
Black Sunshine
Transformer-Ivan
and I’m fairly certain the beef jerky you mentioned was from Ghost Jerky.
Hope to see you again next year!
